BIOAZUL is a technological consultancy and engineering SME focused on renewable energies (mainly based on biomass) and water management (wastewater treatment and water reuse).
BIOAZUL has two main business areas strongly interconnected, concretely the identification (preliminary research, necessities detection, planning), production (writing and negotiation) and implementation (development of technical, coordination and management tasks) of applied research and international cooperation projects framed within different European funding programmes and, on the other hand, the development, optimisation and distribution of eco-innovative products and technologies for wastewater treatment (complete SBR and MBR systems for wastewater treatment and water reuse, especially in remote locations or for specific wastewater compositions; chemicals for wastewater treatment, focused on standard wastewater systems, etc.).
Regarding project management, BIOAZUL has in-depth know-how both of the available funding tools (mainly the 6th and 7th Research Framework Programmes of the EC and the Intelligent Energy – Europe and the CIP-Eco-Innovation Programmes of the EACI), and of the necessary technical and administrative procedures for carrying out public-funded R&D&I. This knowledge together with the company’s extensive network of technological and commercial contacts all over Europe has facilitated BIOAZUL to set up strong R&D&I proposals on renewable energies, environmentally-sound agriculture and wastewater and solid wastes management finally funded by the EC, in which BIOAZUL is taking care of the management, coordination and R&D&I tasks.
